About young pregnant and parenting - Young Pregnant & Parenting

This site is for young pregnant women and young people with children in Victoria, Australia. The site has been put together by members of the Teenage Pregnancy Interest Group. The site replaces the Handbook for Young Pregnant and Parenting Women 1998.

The site has heaps of information about pregnancy and parenting and links and phone numbers for other groups and services that are really helpful.

As a young person it is important that you should feel safe and at all times. You have a right to confidentiality abnd respect when you visit community agencies and groups. Your privacy should be respected at all times.

If you don't feel comfortable using a service then you can go somewhere else. You don't have to feel that you have to stay with that service.

We hope that the site will introduce you to the wide range of community services that you can use to help you through your pregnancy and with your parenting. We have tried to keep the book as simple as possible in the hope that it is easy for you to use and to find what you are looking for.

Please let us know what you think and any further information that you might like.
