Centrelink



Centrelink has a general information line (Phone 13 10 21) where you can get information about payments and benefits. It can also put you in touch with a social worker or other services. Appointments can also be arranged to see Centrelink staff.

Social Workers can provide support and counselling, and referrals to community services. They can also give information about payments, advocacy and referral to other Centerline services.


Jobs, Education and Training Child Care Fee Assistance (JETCCFA)

JET is a service for some people on Centrelink payments (Parenting Payment Single). JET can help with employment and training. They can also help with information on local child care costs. Contact 13 6150.

Education costs

Single Parents may also be able to get an extra payment from Centrelink called the Pensioner Education Supplement Ring on 13 24 90.
