Your contraception choices

 If you don't want to get pregnant while you have sex with a man you have to use contraception. Both partners must be comfortable with the kind of contraception you choose. It is important to know about all methods of contraception so that you can make a well-informed choice. Some types of contraception are:

- Birth control pills (oral contraception)

IUD or Intrauterine Devices are not recommended as a first contraceptice choice for women who are under 25 years old or who have not had children. This is due to the risk of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and increased menstrual cramping or bleeding.

Remember that using contraception doesn't mean that you are having safe sex. You are only safe from infection when you use condoms
