Why breast is best

Breast milk is the best food for your baby because it is specially made by the mother's body to meet all the baby's needs in the first few months of life. Breastfeeding is also the cheapest and easiest way to feed a baby. This is because you don't need to buy any equipment to do it (like bottles, sterilising solution etc). And you don't need to sterilise bottles, or pre-warm a feed. Breastfeeding is good for the mother too. It gives her a chance to sit down and put her feet up, and it releases "happy hormones" in her body, which helps her to relax.
