Medium to long-term supported housing
|
There are different types of supported housing services, some for young people and their children, and some general ones. Support means that you have a worker who can help you to find more long-term housing in either private rental or public housing. The worker can also assist you with finding child care, education, income, counselling and other assistance you may need.
To find the right service for you in the right area call the Young Women’s Housing Shopfront, Melbourne Youth Support Service or WIRE. Anglicare Choices- Centre for young Women and their children in East Melbourne 9429 6866, and Starting Out in Ringwood 9882 8336 are supported accommodation services especially for young women and children. They are great if you need more support, for example if you have no friends and family who can help with your child.
If you want to complain about one of these services call 1800 066 256.
