Permanent Care

- Under the Children’s and Young Persons Act, children can be placed with another family under a Permanent Care Order. This is usually arranged through the Department of Human Services Foster and Permanent Care.

Like adoption, there are agreements for ongoing access and information sharing between the child and the birth-family members.
